Membership is open to all persons over the age of 18, although most members reside within the West Wight area. Junior membership is also available if not covered by a family membership. The Institute is a registered charity governed by it’s Trustees and an elected Management Committee. It’s objectives are to act as a focus for and support of the social, intellectual, artistic, sporting, recreational and cultural activities of it’s members, the residents of Wellow and adjacent villages and those persons or bodies authorised to use it’s premises and to preserve and maintain all those premises owned or used by the Institute.
